Welcome! Thanks for checking out my history blog. Here is a little bit about the blog and what you can expect.

So first, what is history? To me, it’s a passion and something I love. A topic I hope to be involved with for the rest of my life. To some, it is an exciting topic to delve into, and finally, to others, it’s simply what happened yesterday. The point of this blog is to use my passion and love to create something that applies to those who enjoy history and possibly even those who don’t.

Each week I plan to post at least one article about a historical subject. These posts will not be as in-depth or involved as a research paper or history book, but they will have more detail than just a few lines about what happened. Their purpose is to entertain while educating. I want to introduce people to a topic they’ve maybe never researched or provide a quick read for an area they love. This goal is to give a fun read on a history topic. Initially, I will pick topics from whatever places I can think of, but as time goes by, I want to incorporate suggestions from my readers. Cover topics they find interesting.

Along with the posts highlighting a specific area of history, I plan on doing a second post each week describing why I was interested in the topic, what I found interesting, and why I think it’s essential. These articles aim to help readers understand the importance of understanding the past.

As the blog grows, I may expand into more detailed longer-form series. I am unsure what this will entail, but it is an idea in my brain. I know it is highly likely I will also expand into a podcast and some form of a youtube video. Chances are, I will combine the two ideas. So why am I telling you these things I might do at some point in the future? To let you know, I plan to keep growing!
